I always wanted to go the supercharger route and I never really had any interest in turbo kits. During my research I came across www.turbomustangs.com and after doing a lot of reading my interest for turbos really changed. When I decided to go the turbo route I researched long and hard on what kit to purchase. Since my goal for this car was to be a weekend warrior that I could drive to cruise nights and other local hang outs, I was looking for a kit that gave excellent performance still looking very good under the hood. So after reading about all the different kits and hearing how they performed, I narrowed it down to the HP Turbo Kit. The only thing that was making it a hard decision to go with HP was their track record with delivery timeand the quality of the welds. This was a huge amount of money for me to have any type of hassles. So I decided to call HP and some other companies up to try to get a good or bad vibe on their products and ETA on getting a kit out to me. That�s another thing, to be putting out the money for a turbo kit and waiting a minimum of 8 weeks for the kit to arrive made me very nervous.
Well I decided to place the order with Turbo Charged Power for an HP turbo kit, and I have to say that I had ZERO issues with getting my order. I was very happy that they actually called me with updates throughout the process. I hate to be a pain and keep calling them to find out what is going on with my order. Those little phone calls really go a long way. The welds on everything looked great, no complaints.
The only issue I had that I was really disappointed in was the headers. The primary tubes that come off the header flange come out on an angle, not perpendicular with the flange. This makes installing and using typical header bolts impossible, which I don�t know why they even supply regular header bolts when you can�t even get them in the hole. Long story short I had to order ARP bolts that had a 5/16 head, still a real pain to install, but I got them installed. I hope my head gaskets don�t go anything soon though.
