Chain Install

My chain and sprockets only had 10K miles on them, but the chain was stretched and rusted from lack of maintenance. So I researched and came up with a D.I.D. chain and AFAM sprockets. Since I really like to order from Shawn @ www.tricktape.com , he couldn’t get me the rear sprocket right away because it wasn’t in stock. So Sean recommend a JT rear sprocket. By the way, the reason I like to order and recommend Trick Tape is because the customer service is by far the best. Sean is great to work with what ever you need.

Moving on, I decided to stay with the stock gearing because it seems fine and I didn’t want to mess with any speedo issues. Even though I heard that from factory the speedo is a little off, nothing that I need or want to worry about now. Here are some pictures of the process and some brief descriptions...

According to the factory specs, the rivet link should be squashed to .217” - .228”. So I some how managed to get it perfectly in between the specs. I didn’t have a dial indicator that was easily readable so I just used a micrometer.
Here is the chain on and then tightened.
